What is a fail-safe electromagnetic brake?

A fail-safe (power-off) brake is held open by its energised coil and is applied by springs the moment power is removed. This means the machine is braked and held automatically during a power failure or emergency stop — the standard choice for safety and holding applications.

What braking torque is available?

Our electromagnetic brakes cover roughly 2–1500 Nm. Torque, voltage and mounting are built to your specification.

Can you supply a brake to replace an imported unit?

Yes. Send us the dimensions, torque and voltage of your existing brake (or a sample/drawing) and we will manufacture a matching replacement.
